Day 1

Some locations in the Vancouver tour itinerary may be viewed from the bus due to time constraints.

Vancouver The most livable city in the world

Vancouver

Vancouver, located in southwestern British Columbia, Canada, is the third largest city in Canada after Toronto and Montreal, and the most beautiful city in Canada with its warm climate and beautiful scenery. It is also the second most populous city in the Pacific Northwest after Seattle, Washington.

It is the third largest Chinatown in North America after San Francisco and New York, and the largest in Canada. 'Junghwamun', decorated with colorful red patterns, is the symbol of Chinatown.

Gastown Folk Village in Vancouver

Lively Gastown is known for its whistling Steam Clock and mix of souvenir shops, indie art galleries and decor stores in Victorian buildings. A trendy food and drink scene includes chic cocktail lounges and restaurants serving everything from gourmet sandwiches to local seafood. Hip eateries also dot the neighboring Downtown Eastside area, while the up-and-coming Railtown district is home to edgy fashion studios.

Steam Clock in Gastown Built in 1977, the Gastown Steam Clock is a famous landmark in Gastown.

Steam Clock in Gastown

Gastown's most famous (though nowhere near oldest) landmark is the steam-powered clock on the corner of Cambie and Water Street. It was built in 1977 to cover a steam grate, part of Vancouver's distributed steam heating system, as a way to harness the steam and to prevent street people from sleeping on the spot in cold weather. Its original design was faulty and it had to be powered by electricity after a breakdown. The steam mechanism was completely restored with the financial support of local businesses as it had become a major tourist attraction, and is promoted as a heritage feature although it is of modern invention.

Canada Place Built to look like a ship, this iconic complex houses a convention centre, hotel & ferry terminal.

Canada Place

This majestic sailboat-shaped building has become a symbol of Vancouver since it was built for the 1986 Expo. On a sunny day, it is also famous as a point where you can enjoy the beautiful panoramic scenery of Burrard Bay, Stanley Park, and the entire North Vancouver area across the sea, and on the bow, there is a signpost with the names and streets of 26 major cities around the world engraved on it. There is a pier on both sides of the building where luxury cruise ships bound for Alaska dock, so you can see huge cruise ships coming and going in the morning and evening.

Stanley Park Vancouver's largest urban park that has beaches, trails, plus a seawall.

Officially opened in 1888, the British government, which ruled Canada, permanently leased this land, originally owned by Indigenous peoples, to establish it as a park. Named after Lord Stanley, the Governor-General of Canada at the time, the park spans an area of 4 million square meters and provides a beautiful sanctuary with lush virgin forests, large and small gardens, lawns, and beaches. It has now become one of the world's most famous landmarks and a symbol of Vancouver.

It was designed by architects Henri-Maurice Perrault and Alexander Cowper Hutchison, and built between 1872 and 1878 in the Second Empire style. It is located in Old Montreal, between Place Jacques-Cartier and the Champ de Mars, at 275 Notre-Dame Street East. The closest Metro station is Champ-de-Mars, on the Orange Line. As one of the best examples of the Second Empire style in Canada, and the first city hall to have been constructed in the country solely for municipal administration, it was designated a National Historic Site of Canada in 1984.

The original building was gutted by fire in March 1922, leaving only the outer wall and destroying many of the city's historic records. The architect Louis Parant was commissioned for the reconstruction, who decided to build an entirely new building with a self-supporting steel structure built inside the shell of the ruins. This new building was modelled after the city hall of the French city of Tours.Other changes included a remodelling of the Mansard roof into a new Beaux-Arts inspired model, with a copper roof instead of the original slate tiles. The new building opened on February 15, 1926.

Montreal Notre-Dame Basilica Exterior Tour Every year, making it one of the most visited monuments in North America

Montreal Notre-Dame Basilica Exterior Tour

The interior of the church is amongst the most dramatic in the world and regarded as a masterpiece of Gothic Revival architecture. The vaults are coloured deep blue and decorated with golden stars, and the rest of the sanctuary is decorated in blues, azures, reds, purples, silver, and gold. It is filled with hundreds of intricate wooden carvings and several religious statues. Unusual for a church, the stained glass windows along the walls of the sanctuary do not depict biblical scenes, but rather scenes from the religious history of Montreal. It also has a Casavant Frères pipe organ, dated 1891, which comprises four keyboards, 92 stops using electromagnetic action and an adjustable combination system, 7000 individual pipes and a pedal board.

일정고민 No! 😊🌲⛰️
