You can also experience the huge glacier of Mount Victoria, which is 3,464 meters above sea level. In clear weather, it takes on an emerald color. This is a phenomenon caused by the combination of sunlight and the limestone contained in the lake water. It is situated in the Valley of the Ten Peaks, at an elevation of approximately 1,884 metres (6,181 ft). The lake has a surface area of 50 hectares (120 acres). When it is full, it reflects a distinctive shade of azure blue. The unique colour is due to the refraction of light off the rock flour deposited in the lake on a continual basis by surrounding glaciers. / Only available for departures between July and September. Tours may not be available depending on local circumstances.

[Optional] Banff Gondola Adult C$90, Child(6-15) C$60 (Tax included)

As you walk along the installed deck, take in the endless outdoor Rocky Mountain scenery.

Lake Minnewanka

Lake Minnewanka is a glacial lake in the eastern area of Banff National Park in Canada, about five kilometres northeast of the Banff townsite. The lake is 21 km long and 142 m deep, making it the 2nd longest lake in the mountain parks of the Canadian Rockies.

Lake Minnewanka Frozen Bubble (Winter)

Lake Minnewanka is a glacial lake located in the eastern part of Banff National Park, about 5 kilometers northeast of downtown Banff. The lake is 21 kilometers long and 142 meters deep, making it the second longest lake in Canada's Rocky Mountain parks. In winter, it transforms into a mystical space where you can experience ice bubbles. This phenomenon occurs when methane gas, produced by plants growing on the lakebed, rises to the surface and freezes, creating what is known as Frozen Bubbles.

The name "Two Jack Lake" originates from two men named Jack who were active in the area during the late 19th century. One was Jack Stanley, and the other was Jack Watters. They were involved in mining and exploration around Banff, and the lake was named in their honor as "Two Jack Lake." Two Jack Lake is a stunning lake located in Banff National Park, Alberta, Canada. Just a short drive from Banff, it is a popular destination for visitors looking to experience breathtaking scenery. The lake’s emerald waters, surrounded by majestic mountains, create a picturesque setting, especially during sunrise and sunset.

Yoho National Park (Summer) A compact but spectacular national park filled with turquoise lakes.

Yoho National Park (Summer)

Yoho National Park is a relatively small park located just west of Banff, yet it contains 28 peaks over 3,000 meters, offering dramatic Rocky Mountain scenery. In summer, you can paddle or stroll around Emerald Lake, visit popular landmarks such as Takakkaw Falls, Natural Bridge, and the village of Field, all accessible by road and short walking trails. The Lake O’Hara area, operated by advance reservation only, offers high-alpine lakes and more challenging hikes, making it a special summer-only trekking destination.

Yoho National Park (Winter) A quiet alpine hideaway of snow-covered peaks, frozen rivers.

Yoho National Park (Winter)

During winter, Yoho National Park sees fewer visitors, making it ideal for quietly enjoying snow-covered mountains, forests, and partially frozen lakes and rivers. Around Emerald Lake, you can walk along the snowy shoreline and take in panoramic views of the surrounding peaks, and when conditions allow, snowshoeing and cross-country skiing are available on selected routes. Access to areas such as Takakkaw Falls and Lake O’Hara is limited in the winter season, so a typical winter visit to Yoho focuses on Emerald Lake, Natural Bridge, and viewpoints near Field, where you can appreciate the calm, snow-covered scenery at a relaxed pace.

Natural Bridge A bridge built over hundreds of years by the flow of river water

Natural Bridge

Natural Bridge is an impressive natural rock formation that spans the flow of the Kicking Horse River west of Field, where the slower-moving waters from the Field valley flats begin their descent through a canyon to be joined by the Amiskwi River.

Emerald Lake Peaceful Beauty of the Scene

Emerald Lake

The vivid green color of the water is caused by powdered rock from the glaciers, which reflects the blue-green spectrum of sunlight. The rock type and the amount of it in the water causes the color to vary from lake to lake and month to month, even week to week. Due to its 53 degree latitude and moderately high altitude, the lake is frozen from November until late April or early May.

Crowfoot Glacier is located in Banff National Park, Alberta, Canada, 32 km (20 mi) northwest of Lake Louise, and can be viewed from the Icefields Parkway. The glacier is situated on the northeastern flank of Crowfoot Mountain.

Peyto Lake (Summer) It is the highest lake in the Rocky

Peyto Lake (Summer)
